A Free Year of My Inventory AI for Every Avant Client
There’s a moment in every custom build we love and dread at the same time. We hand the keys over, the family does their first walkthrough as the owners, and then… the moving truck shows up.
Anyone who’s moved into a new home knows what happens next. Boxes in every room. Bins in the garage that won’t get opened for three years. Tools that vanish into “I know I put it somewhere.” Christmas decorations that won’t surface until February. The home you just finished is suddenly a storage problem.
We’ve been thinking about this for a while, and we’re rolling out something new for every Avant client closing on a build from now on.
Every Avant client gets My Inventory AI free for a year
My Inventory AI is a tool that catalogs everything you put in a labeled bin or storage area — automatically, using AI. You take photos of what you’re packing, the system identifies and tags every item, and then you can find anything from your phone: “Where’s the Christmas tree topper?” → BIN-014, garage rack 3.
It’s the system Blake built originally to manage his own household, and it’s now its own product at myinventoryai.com. For our build clients, we cover the first year — a $99 value at retail — as part of closing.
Here’s what you’d otherwise pay for:
- AI-powered cataloging of every item you photograph
- QR-coded bin labels that link straight to that bin’s contents
- A private, searchable inventory of everything you own
- Voice search (“where’s the oil filter?”)
- Insurance documentation reports (PDF with photos, descriptions, and estimated values — surprisingly useful if you ever have a claim)
- CSV export of your inventory
- Hosted, backed up, accessible from any phone
Why we’re including it
Three reasons. They all come back to wanting our clients happy for years after the build, not just on closing day.
1. Move-in is a one-shot organizing window. Once stuff is in a closet, it’s there for a decade. The week or two of unpacking is the only realistic time to actually inventory and label what you own. Getting this done while everything is already in your hands — instead of “we’ll get to it” — changes how a house lives.
2. Insurance documentation is genuinely valuable in this climate. Northwest Florida insurance carriers increasingly want documented proof of belongings for hurricane and water-damage claims. A real inventory, with photos and dates, can be the difference between a quick claim payment and a months-long fight over what was actually in the house. We hope you never need it. We’ve been through enough storm seasons to know you might.
3. Custom homes deserve organized garages. It’s a small thing but it bothers us. We design beautiful homes and then the garage looks like a Goodwill backroom because nobody had a system. Better system, better outcome.
How it works for you
We’ll set it up during your closing week. There are two ways to get started:
- DIY — you photograph and tag everything yourself using the app. Best if you enjoy organizing or want full control. Free for the first year, $99/yr after.
- White-Glove Start — a My Inventory AI technician comes out for a half-day, photographs everything in your bins, labels them with QR stickers, and trains you on the app. Normally $699; we negotiated a discounted rate with My Inventory AI for our clients who want it. The first year of software is still included.
Either way, you’ll have a working, searchable inventory of your home’s contents before the dust from move-in even settles. After year one, the software runs $99/yr — about the cost of a tank of gas — to keep going. Cancel anytime.
A small thing that compounds
We’ve always thought of the home build as the start of the relationship, not the end of it. The keys hand-over isn’t where we stop caring about how the home actually serves you. Most of what we add as “extras” over the years — the maintenance plan, the post-closing check-ins, the call-us-anytime guarantee — is about that long view.
This is another piece of it. It costs us very little to include. It’s worth meaningfully more than that to the family moving in. And it’s the kind of thing nobody else in Northwest Florida is doing for their custom-home clients.
If you’re already mid-build with us, this is included automatically — we’ll send instructions during your closing week. If you’re thinking about starting a project, mention this post when we sit down — we’ll make sure it’s in your packet from day one.
Curious about My Inventory AI specifically? The product has its own home at myinventoryai.com. Curious about a custom-home build? That’s still us.
Talk with us about your project.
